Scrub Be Love is built on the idea that small changes actually add up. You don’t need to change everything overnight, but the things you use every single day are a good place to start. Your sponge is one of them, and it’s something most people don’t think twice about as a potentially toxic item in your home- I certainly didn't for most of my life!
Most sponges are made from fully synthetic materials, and I never felt great about that. At the same time, I couldn’t find a natural option that actually worked the way I needed it to so I set out to create something better. Our sponges are made with plant-based materials like cellulose and coconut fiber, designed to reduce reliance on conventional, fully plastic sponges full of chemicals like bpa's a pthalates- while still cleaning the way a sponge should.
At the end of the day, it has to work or you’re not going to use it. The mission was never about becoming perfectly sustainable, but to create a better, more thoughtful option for something you reach for every day.
