these sponges work great in my opinion, just like regular plastic based ones. the grit of the scrubby side is very effective and the white soft side feels and works exactly like your typical kitchen sponge. i have used these for dishes but also for tough stuff like cleaning off blackened stainless steel. glad i found an alternative to plastic that works so well!
